New School Year !

Hello Everyone!

I hope all of you enjoyed your summer holidays ~ Was it filled with friends, family, and outdoor activities? I sure hope so! I am very excited to start this school year off! It is going to be a FABULOUS year filled with excitement, fun, and lots of learning. I strongly believe that learning should be an enjoyable journey, where we all grow and develop a true love of wisdom and discover our strengths and passions.

I am very excited to meet all of our new Grade 1 friends, and be reacquainted with our Grade 2 Veterans ! As a friendly reminder, please call the school at 204-268-2664 to book an appointment for Opening-Conferences. Conferences take place on September 7th (12:00-4:00 & 5:00-7:00) and September 8th (11:00-1:00 & 2:00-6:00), and are 30 minutes in length.

At your scheduled time, please bring $48 for your child's school supplies, two boxes of Kleenex, and a pair of indoor running shoes to keep at school.

School Swimming

Hello Everyone,

Just a friendly reminder that swimming forms and payment are due tomorrow (June 1st). As well, for each swimming day we need a minimum of 5 guardians to help with supervision duties. So far, we have approximately 3-4 volunteers for each day ~ Please contact me via email if you are able to volunteer .

Hello Everyone,

I can't believe the year is almost over with only 22 school days left!

We had a wonderful trip to the Manitoba Museum today, where the students had an opportunity to view the Planetarium, explore the Museum, take part in a "States of Matter" lesson, and play in the Science Gallery. A huge thank you goes out to Mr. Vernon, Mrs. Gusta, and Mrs. Kanzler for joining us on our field trip!

Tomorrow, students from K-5 will take part in "Career Day". This event takes place every 5 years, where a variety of workers in our community come to our school to explain their careers and have students start thinking about what they would like to be when they grow up! It will definitely be a fun-filled day!

Swimming forms are to be completed and submitted by Wednesday, June 1st. Please complete all waiver forms and if you are available to volunteer during our swimming times, it would be greatly appreciated and we would love to have you join our class. A minimum of 5 parent volunteers is needed for each day. A big thank-you to the parents who already signed up!

April 3rd News

Hello Everyone,

I hope you and your families had a wonderful and relaxing Spring Break !

Here are some friendly reminders for our first day back:

1) Students need to bring back their indoor shoes

2) Bring water bottles to keep in the class

3) Return books and book bags

Tomorrow, students will be bringing home their spelling words (located in their agenda) and a classroom newsletter. Please review them with your child.

Student-Led Conferences

Due to the school closure, Thursday evening's conferences have been postponed to Tuesday evening.  All appointments from Thursday night will follow the same schedule on Tuesday evening. Friday morning conferences are still scheduled to take place.

I Love to Read Month

In celebration of "I Love to Read" month, our classroom invited two guest readers, Mr. Dubray and Mr. Feilberg, to come read their favourite stories to us ~ It was wonderful having members from our community join our classroom :)

Skating

Hello Everyone!

Just a friendly reminder that we are going skating tomorrow afternoon from 2:00-3:00. Please pack your child their helmet, skates, and warm clothing for when they are on the ice!

If any guardians could come to the SunGro Centre to help tie skates and supervise at this time, it would be greatly appreciated!
